TEACHING
Over the years I have been sharing my creative practice in regular classes and workshops in different settings in the studio and in nature. The training can vary from butoh-based dance improvisation to experiential anatomy and sensory work. I am interested in the discovery of an inner presence and the hidden dances that lie dormant in the body.
I bring together my training in Butoh and Body Weather with the modality of Body-Mind Centering® and my years of experience of performance making. My intentions in facilitating are to provide a safe space for experimentation, finding ease in the body, self care and tenderness; a possible revelation of a vulnerable soft spot that can be tended to.
I also collaborate with dance artist Petra Söör in creating workshops exploring Body Weather elements: Rock Water Bridge (Stockholm, 2024), the Meteorological Body (Athens, 2025).
I offer Body-Mind Centering® Education classes to anyone interested in getting to know, sense and feel their bodies experientially through movement. No previous experience in movement is required.
Places I have facilitated workshops include: MA Scenography, UAL Central St Martins; MA Acting, East 15; Physical Fest, Liverpool; Synaski d/intensifying, Cochlea Studia, Athens; weekly 3 hour butoh sessions for 7 years in London; Choros space Athens; Utopia Lab Athens; Filopappou Hill Athens.

“Greatly inspired. All the images proposed by Selina with sensitivity and dynamism revealed the inner landscapes of the people involved. In an atmosphere of acceptance we were so gently guided by Selina’s talent, heart and knowledge!”

“Selina is a very experienced instructor with a rare artistic instinct. She naturally moves directly to the poetry of butoh keeping the balance between form and content alive”
